Cookies and local storage
Cookie policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026. This policy describes the cookies and local technologies Nexulex uses and how to control optional preferences.
1. What they are and how to control them
Cookies are small files the site stores in your browser. When you visit the website you can accept preference cookies or keep only strictly necessary ones; no optional cookie is set before you choose. You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it: from "Cookie preferences" in the footer or, when signed in, under Profile > Preferences > Cookies. Rejecting preferences does not affect sign-in or security.
2. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are essential to provide the service you request and do not require consent (Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC and applicable Chilean law). Preference cookies are set only with your prior, free, specific and informed consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Nexulex does not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Strictly necessary cookies (first-party)
• better-auth.session_token (prefixed __Secure- over HTTPS): keeps you securely signed in. Duration: 7 days, or until the browser closes if you chose not to be remembered.
• better-auth.dont_remember: records that you asked not to be remembered. Duration: browser session.
• better-auth.webapp_oauth and state cookies for social sign-in, passkeys and two-factor: protect the sign-in flow against forgery. Duration: up to 10 minutes.
• nx_calsync: protects connecting an external calendar. Duration: 10 minutes.
• nexulex.cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choice. Duration: 180 days.
4. Preference cookies (first-party, optional)
Only if you accept preferences:
• nexulex.locale: remembers your language. Duration: 12 months.
• sidebar_state: remembers whether the sidebar is expanded or collapsed. Duration: 12 months.
• nx_onb: remembers that you finished initial setup so it is not shown again. Duration: 12 months.
If you reject them, they are deleted and those preferences return to their defaults.
5. Browser local storage
The website also uses local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which are not cookies, for: the light or dark theme (theme), the API documentation explorer state, a desktop notification preference, and temporary form drafts during the session. This data stays on your device, is not used for tracking or advertising, and can be cleared from your browser settings.
6. Third parties and apps
Nexulex sets no third-party cookies on its site. If you sign in with Google or Apple, connect a calendar, or use an integration enabled by your organization, you are redirected to that provider's site, which applies its own cookies and policies. The mobile apps store the session and preferences in the system's secure storage and request permissions (notifications, shared connection) through the operating system; this cookie center controls only the website.
7. How to block or delete cookies
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some features — such as staying signed in — will stop working. If you delete the consent cookie, we will ask again.
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before enabling them.
