External services are checked every 5 minutes from our infrastructure in Chile. A third-party outage can affect specific Nexulex features even while the platform itself is operational.
What to do if the OJV is down and a deadline is due
Keep evidence of the failure: screenshots with the date and time of the error and the time you tried to file. Check this page to rule out your own connection or browser. An OJV outage does not extend deadlines by itself. Under the Supreme Court's electronic-filing rules (Acta 85-2019), when the Oficina Judicial Virtual is unavailable the Judiciary publishes on pjud.cl a certificate with the day, time and length of the incident, and the system being unreachable allows filing on paper directly at the court (Ley 20.886, art. 5).
How often we check
Every 5 minutes we run real case searches on the Oficina Judicial Virtual and check that pjud.cl and the case law search respond. If a check fails or is too slow, you will see it here and in the 90-day history.
OJV, pjud.cl and the case law search: what is the difference?
The Oficina Judicial Virtual (oficinajudicialvirtual.pjud.cl) is where cases are looked up and filings submitted. pjud.cl is the Judiciary's institutional portal. The case law search (juris.pjud.cl) finds rulings. Each can fail on its own.
Questions when the OJV does not respond
Is the OJV down just for me?
If this page shows the OJV working, the problem may be your connection, browser or sign-in. Try another browser or network before assuming a general outage.
Is my deadline extended if the OJV is down?
Not automatically. Neither Ley 20.886 nor Acta 85-2019 extends deadlines for an outage: they allow filing on paper at the court, and the Judiciary certifies the outage on pjud.cl. In criminal matters you may also ask for a new deadline for force majeure (CPP, art. 17).
How often is this page updated?
We check the Judiciary every 5 minutes, and this page shows the latest result at most a minute late.
Can you alert me about my cases even when the portal fails?
Yes. Nexulex retries checking your cases and alerts you to movements as soon as the Judiciary responds again.
